Hello Ladies:
I thought we would use a Blog site to show off the pictures of our events. For the Ladies who don't have the Internet I will still print out a copy of the pics.
I was a good year away, but I missed my Orillia family. Funny how you move to a place and once you make some friends it becomes home. Our family thought we would move back to the Chatham area when we returned but this is our home and we are so glad to be back.
I met a lot of Red Hatters in Alberta and was a member of 2 groups. It was fun to sit back and watch how other Queens run their groups and the activities they did.
We are going back to the monthly news letters which I will post on the blog, plus give out at the gatherings. If you do not attend a gathering have someone pick up your copy or it will be sent out to you. Checking it on the blog is faster, but some of us have a busy life and we just plain forget until after the fact, so don't worry.
A big thank you goes to Helen Brady for her work on arranging the evening at the Opera House (August gathering). It was an enjoyable evening and the dinner at the Chinese Place finished the evening.
Vice Grace and I belong to WI and had a dancing lesson at the TIE club. I thought what a fun time for our Ladies. Vice Grace was teasing me and said "Queen Kate is back and the first thing she does is change the meeting night." Yes but it was only for that one night. The square dancing classes where great fun. Lady Violet and Lady Lorna with there spouses looked marvelous. At nine we decided it was time to get away for desert at Brewery Bay.
Check the next Blog for more pictures of our dancing the night away...
